They are usually fun, but paying $40 to take slutasaurus to the latest Transformer's movie wasn't really my idea of fun, sorry bro. I keep thinking about how many cheeseburgers and beers that would buy me.

Way more stoked on The Expendables 2.

I went with some bros and it was a blast, one of my favorite moviegoing experiences recently

Michael Bay movies are like porn, shameless eye-candy and shallow entertainment, that you're either ashamed to admit you like because you're that pretentious, or you admit you like it openly because how could you not like it when it's scientifically designed to appeal to everything you are as a male?

Also they usually have super sharp dialogue that keeps it from being a total embarrassment like GI Joe

I have to disagree.

I like The Rock and the first BadBoys. His others films I just found really boring. And not in a hipster anti-fun way, I just did not give a shit about anything that was happening on the screen.

I am more into Zack Snyder films, I love his visual flair.

I hardly see films, if I do I expect either awesome visuals or to be emotionally engaged. Preferably both, otherwise I will just play video games. His films have neither. Don't get me wrong, there as a shit ton of visual stuff happening, but it is never put together in a way that interests me.

So when I watch his films I get bored around the 30 min mark and go play video games instead.

Actually being in control of mindless violence is better then watching prepackaged explosions.

But I am not hating on those who like it, this just what I am wired for.

I thought the first two transformers films RULED. The third one was a piece of shit for me. I don't understand why anything happened in that movie, it was like an adult swim show but made by Michael Bay.

The American army needs to wise up and hire the optimus prime dude to do recruiting ads. If Optimus Prime was on TV telling me I should join the army I would sign up right fucking now.

I get you bro. There's no cinematography to the Transformer movies, but color flashing on the screen. I find the action hard to follow because he tries to make the fight scenes visceral but it just looks like colored static.
